Mark Dektor is a California based photographer, director and cinematographer.  Much of his commercial work has been in television commercials, where he found his ability to connect with people. He brings this same skill to his portraiture and documentary still photography. 

Artist statement

 “After four years exploring the humanity in Kink,  I was introduced and accepted as an accomplice into the queer community.  Because of this acceptance I have become driven to do everything I can to try and change the perception about this beautiful community perceived as negative.  As a straight cis male I acknowledge my privilege and although I am not part of the community I am blessed to have the opportunity document and bear witness to the beauty that lies within”.
